Training Program

Highland Farm is the Hunter/Jumper training program at Palos Verdes Stables and is led by a team of incredibly talented and accomplished trainers. We offer aspiring equestrians the opportunity to learn from nationally renowned trainers. Our highly experienced and gifted instructors create an individualized program for each horse and rider combination. We provide an environment for students to set and achieve goals, grow as riders, and become top-level competitors. Whether your goals are hunter championships, equitation accolades, or international show jumping success, we can help you reach them. Our program not only strives to develop the rider but also to make educated horsemen and women. We offer exceptional care for our horses and have the highest of standards in every area. We offer a unique, professional, and very personalized approach.

Michael & Christa Endicott 

Michael and Christa Endicott are incredibly accomplished riders and have helped numerous students achieve their equestrian dreams. Mike has represented the United States at 4 World Cup Finals and several Nation’s Cup events. He has served as part of the United States Olympic selection committee and is currently the Chef d’ Equip of the USHJA Zone 10 Young Rider Program. Christa has successes in all three rings: hunters, equitation and jumpers. She is a nationally renowned hunter rider and has also shown successfully at the Grand Prix level, including being short-listed for the Canadian Team three years in a row. Mike and Christa have successfully operated Pegasus Show Stables since 1989 which has produced numerous National and Regional Champions from pony, hunters, and equitation through Grand Prix. They welcome clients that want to become better horsemen as the care of their horses is their number one priority. Because Pegasus is a competition-oriented program, the emphasis on developing knowledgeable, sympathetic riders and sound, happy, well-prepared horses has translated to lots of blue ribbons in the hunter, jumper, equitation and pony divisions over the years. The Endicott’s maintain a boutique sized clientele to be able to provide the individualized care and training they insist on.  Mike and Christa are quite the dynamic duo.

Judy Martin

Judy Martin is a celebrated equestrian icon. She has trained some of the best riders in the country over the last several decades and has helped make countless riders champions in every ring- Hunters, Equitation and Jumpers. Judy’s students have achieved the highest awards from over 60 Grand Prix wins, CPHA final winners, USET final winners, North American Young Rider Gold Medalists and Junior Nations Cup gold medalists. Judy has helped shape many International jumping riders including an Olympian and many World Cup contenders. A number of her students have gone on to become equestrian professionals. She recently received a lifetime achievement award for her numerous outstanding successes in all three disciplines.
